Infinity Pools for the Texas Horizon
Where gravity-defying design meets master-class engineering. we engineer seamless vistas that redefine the Texas skyline.
Who We Are
Precision Engineering for the Edge of Luxury.
At Texas Innovative Pools, we believe an infinity edge is more than a visual trick; it is a complex feat of hydraulic and structural engineering. As PHTA-certified project managers, we possess the technical depth required to build vanishing edges that remain perfectly level and structurally sound—an expertise that sets us apart from standard builders.
Our infinity pools are built on a foundation of 38+ years of structural concrete and steel experience. We ensure every “Texas Tough” design accounts for the specific soil pressures and weight distributions unique to negative-edge basins, protecting your luxury investment for the long term.
Elevated Design. Engineered to Endure.
Elevate your view with an infinity pool that defies the elements. As PHTA-certified builders, we bridge the gap between high-end luxury and “Texas Tough” durability, ensuring your backyard legacy is built on a foundation of professional excellence.
Our approach
Infinity Pools with Texas Innovative Pools
Get in touch with us
Every infinity project starts with a rigorous onsite assessment of your property’s elevation. Whether you are perched on a Hill Country cliff or a Houston slope, we engineer the catch basin and structural supports to fit your specific topography.
Design consultation
Experience your vanishing edge from every angle before we break ground. Our high-fidelity 3D modeling allows you to see exactly how the water line interacts with your view, ensuring the “disappearing” effect is perfectly calibrated to your line of sight.
design and Construct
We apply the “Texas Tough” construction standard to every pour. With 38+ years of experience, our PHTA-certified team manages the complex plumbing, catch basins, and reinforced gunite shells with a single-contractor advantage to ensure flawless execution.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is an infinity edge safe for my yard’s terrain?
Yes, provided it is engineered correctly. We specialize in “Texas Tough” construction, using our 38+ years of structural experience and engineering to design a variety of structural reinforcement and basins that secure your pool regardless of soil conditions and elevations.
How much maintenance does an infinity edge require?
While they require more precision in water levels and the catch basin does require manual cleaning, our PHTA-certified designs use advanced automation to manage catch basin and filtration effortlessly.
What is the difference between an infinity edge, negative edge or zero edge pools?
An infinity pool creates the illusion that water extends endlessly into the horizon. The edges are designed so water flows over and out of sight, visually blending the pool with the surrounding landscape or view.
Infinity/ Negative Edge Pool
An “infinity edge” pool and a “negative edge” pool are essentially the same design. “Infinity edge” is the more common marketing term, while “negative edge” is the technical industry name. That said, we can also create a faux negative edge—a design that delivers the same endless-horizon look, without the added structure, equipment, and cost of a true negative edge. You won’t get the extra sound of the water spilling into a catch basin, but you still get the clean, dramatic visual effect.
Zero Edge Pool
A zero (or Lautner) edge is designed so the water level sits perfectly flush with the deck or coping. There’s no visible lip, coping, or raised beam, which makes the water surface appear like a sheet of glass meeting the surrounding hardscape or landscape.
Are you certified to build these complex structures?
Absolutely. Unlike many local builders, our projects are led by Paul and Leah Hughes and backed by a PHTA-Certified team. Your high-end build benefits directly from Paul’s 38 years of expertise in structural concrete, structural steel, and engineering, ensuring every detail exceeds national standards for safety and craftsmanship.
